Have decided to start this blog as a place to record the things we have done, the stuff we have made and the cakes we have baked…home education, home baking and a bit of crafty stuff I guess.

Today has been one of those perfect home ed days where I feel that “YES! This is home ed!” We did an experiment this morning that worked (always a good start!), the boys have been getting along with each other and we had a fabulous bike ride this afternoon – 5 or 6 miles out of town along the river – a very different perspective on parts of the town.

We had our first LA visit last week and Gman certainly wowed them with his amazing collection of achievements – I felt quite ashamed that I hadn’t really realised just how much he had achieved over the year!! And he certainly enjoyed the opportunity to show off his work to someone outside of the family I think. Maybe need to make sure this happens more often (not LA visit, just the chance to show off!)

So will be unashamedly using this blog to show off some of the stuff we make and do on our home ed adventure – experiments, outings, plants we’ve grown, crafty stuff and of course, cakes :-) Here’s some visual tasters:

I look forward to reading this Viv! Keep meaning to update mine but not had time recently. Thanks for putting it on your sidebar – am honoured! 🙂
Great photo of your boys at the top, and glad to read that your LA visit went well, was thinking about it the other day and meant to ask how you'd all got on.
